Claudia Horsman BDS Dr.Med.

Claudia gained her degree in dentistry at the University of Dresden in 1991. She spent four years working for an all female dental surgery in Freiburg, next to the ‘Black Forest’. During this time she gained her Dr Med by writing a scientific dissertation in Microbiology.

Claudia moved with her English husband to Scotland in 1996 and worked there full time for 4 years. She then took the opportunity to work as a private dentist for the expatriate community in Nairobi, Kenya whilst running a safari business together with her husband. Although Kenya is a wonderful country Claudia and her husband decided to return to the UK to bring up their children in the beautiful English countryside.

In order to keep abreast of all the recent developments in dental medicine, Claudia regularly attends lectures and seminars in both Germany and the UK. She is especially interested in cosmetic dentistry and can offer tooth whitening, white fillings, white crowns, but also more complex denture work, including precision attachments and telescopic dentures.

Claudia, who has been practicing at our practice since 2005, is also offering Dermal Fillers, Botulinum treatments (also known as the brand Botox) and Chemical Peels.

Many people ask us, why does a dentist offer this type of treatment and as we explain, dentists have spent many years learning about facial anatomy and who better than someone that understands this along with dentistry which also offers many types of treatment to help achieve optimum facial aesthetics.
