John Barton BDS Dip Implant Dent. (RCS.ENG)

John Barton qualified in Liverpool in 1966, and after a period as a hospital houseman went into general practice. He has developed practices in Wincanton and Salisbury as well as Tisbury.

John has a wealth of experience in all fields of dentistry, with particular interests in gum disease, surgery and implant placement.

He has been successfully using dental implants to restore patients dentition since 1994.

John first completed a Branemark course during 1993-1994 at Guys Hospital. John has since completed many courses, studying at the Branemark clinic in Gothenburg in 1999, at Cologne, Frankfurt and Tubingen. He was recently one of the first UK operators to complete a ‘Diploma in Implant Dentistry’ awarded by the ‘Faculty of General Dental Practitioners (FGDP) at the Royal College of Surgeons, London. He is now a tutor in Implantology at the ‘Royal College of Surgeons’ in London.

John is a keen sportsman playing tennis regularly and fishing in the local waters.
